Stephanie Kanan, co-owner of Oasis Palisades, has over 20 years experience as a massage therapist. She has specialized training in oncology massage and is certified through the Greet the Day Institute of Integrative Oncology. She has worked in holistic healthcare as both a medical assistant and a massage therapist since the 1980s. She began her work in the field with Dr. Pearl McBroom, who was both a cardiologist and a pioneer in the field of holistic health.
Later she worked with Dr. Bruce Beddoe of Palisades Holistic Chiropractic Center. In 2007, she opened Oasis Palisades with Antonia Balfour, a health and wellness center featuring massage, acupuncture, herbal medicine and organic facials.
